Restrictions Review Project
What is the Restrictions Review Project?
The Board of Directors has prepared a revised proposed Declaration of Restrictions document and has sent it to homeowners via U.S. mail (Monday, Sept 30, 2024). It is also available via this link on the web site. The Declaration of Restrictions describes the rules and conditions we agree to live by to maintain our attractive community and the value of our homes.
What is happening now?
The Board of Directors is inviting homeowners to cast their vote on or by Thursday, Oct. 17th either in person, or by proxy (homeowners are able to name whom they wish as their proxy vote; if not named, the vote will be cast by the Board president).
Homeowners are able to vote by attending the meeting or by completing a Limited Proxy Form naming someone else who will vote on their behalf. A total of 139 yes votes are needed to adopt the proposed new document. This is 50% plus 1 of our 276 total homeowners. The Board will have up to 90 days after the special meeting to complete the process of getting the 139 or more affirmative votes.
The results will be an updated and easier to read document.
Then what happens?
The revised document needs 139 “YES” votes to become our new governing document.
If we do not have 139 votes to approve, it will incur future costs and Board resources.
We will host a second meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Abundant Life Church at 6:30 p.m. for a second voting session; we hope that this is not necessary.
